Question/helpful tips about all manual (FIFA 15)

Hey all, I've been playing FIFA a lot more recently (I've been really into it since FIFA 13), and was wondering if you guys had any tips about all manual. Basically, I play on assisted, and I've read comments about ping ponging (due to assisted), and obviously it doesn't feel like REAL football. Currently for crosses I have it on manual, and shooting on semi.

However I find the jump to all manual to be very very difficult (I play against AI on World Class). Do you guys have any general tips? And better yet, should I dumb down the AI when getting the hang of it, or go on those sliders everyone is asking?

Also bear in mind, I don't REALLY have the patience for 15 min games when doing career mode. That seems a bit too long for me.

Thanks to any who comment.

Yep, dumb down the AI, even if it's Beginner. We've all been there before.

All I play is all manual. Once you get used to it it's the only way to play. I play on world class and what I'd advise is to SLOW DOWN and lay off the speed burst, except when your out wide. You have to play on Co-op to see all the field. And don't try to pass your way out of trouble with the back 4

What do you mean by that? Just play it safe and kick back to the keeper or clear it?

Re: Question/helpful tips about all manual (FIFA 15)

I would recommend just going down to professional, but no lower if you are playing on world class.

You want it to be hard while learning also, it will help you get used to it faster, and it should help you learn some nice new ways to control the ball. Playing on a super easy A.I. you will think you get used to it faster than you actual are. Because you will be beating the cpu with ease. This was my problem. I didn't fully get used to and fall in love with full manual until playing a bunch of games on pro.

And some things to keep in mind when starting with full manual.
  • Back pass, a lot. Don't force passes. You will need to create more space on your own while you get used to the power.
  • Play lots of practice games to learn through ball power/weight.
  • Give it more power than you think it needs. Trust me. Don't be afraid of the power. Its better to be a little to strong, than not strong enough.
  • The person you pass to will folly the pass more than you are used to. This is fine. And feels more like real life.
  • L2 is your friend. This will help keep that pass under control better on the first touch. I never used this at all until going full manual.
  • Practice creating your own space with passes. With it not auto passing directly to the player, you will find it hard to make tight passes. Learning to pass off of or around the defender of the player you want to make the pass to, this will really help.
I can't imagine going back any assisted play personally. I've been doing full manual since 11. And it felt really good in 15 using Orion's sliders. And damn does it feel good when you score that really amazing goal on full manual for the first few times.

I'd also recommend putting your crossing on semi. You still need to do a lot of work to get it in the right spot, but when starting out its nice to not have all your crosses wasted as you get used to manual.

I'd just kick it out of bounds or kick it deep upfield. If you make a bad pass they will intercept it and score. It happened many times to me
