Basically UT, for all EA titles has killed innovation for their games. Not much changes year to year, except in the UT area.

Madden to be fair has made some good additions, and changed for the better. But fifa, and NHL for most part should definitely have made better progress by now.

Both NHL and FIFA are made in Vancouver, we have a fairly barebones staff, Rammer and gang had 2 years to develop NHL 15 and had almost nothing to show for and FIFA are basically depending on FUT money.

This is what confuses me. FIFA is, year after year, the best selling game in the entire world. Outside of the USA soccer is the global sport. I'm sure EA can spare a few bucks and actually, you know, add some more features outside of adding new ways to get your money for FUT.

Re: FIFA 17 Impressions From The Community

After a few games, I'm now figuring out why I was holding off on purchasing this.

The game is not good. CPU has no human element to them, Hull City plays the same way as Barca and finishes with 90 percent pass accuracy.

If only the team could take a page out of Madden's playbook and actually have the vision to create a realistic game instead of this nonsense they put out. Guess as long as people are buying FIFA points EA doesn't care if the game is realistic.

Have they fixed CDM positioning this year? Do they stay back when you tell them to stay back at all times? I've been holding off on buying the game but the PES Master League is so barebones and shallow.

If someone could confirm that would be great.

This game makes me rage unlike any video game in history, all other FIFAs included. Input lag and inability to control who I want off the ball....

depends on your formation i think.

i'm playing a 4-3-3 (holding) with Grujic as my CDM. in general he's in front of the back four protecting them. he doesn't wander if if i'm playing defensively or ultra defensively (tap left on the d-pad) ... and when i got into attacking modes, he will get forward.

i think positionally this is the best fifa to date. my fullbacks are staying wide, my wingers are running into space out wide, or cutting in if i tell them to (in the tactics set up box). mids are staying central etc etc

That's good to hear. 16 was near unplayable for me with how the CDMs acted. That combined with RM/LM dropping so deep you ended up with a back 6 and I shelved the game by February.

Great to know they've at least resolved that. Sliders can do the rest. Thank god for Amazon Prime - I can get stuck in tomorrow afternoon!
