Right. I feel like if I go above Pro a game can quickly go from close to the CPU taking a 5-0 lead on me in extremely unrealistic ways to the point where the laziest most unlikely shot from them goes in like they're programmed to win the game no matter what. This is the wall I usually hit with Legacy that makes me quit. 2K10 has the opposite problem, I feel, where nothing you do seems to provoke intentional scoring. I always feel like in 2K10 I have no control over the exact type of shot I want to take. Everything else on the ice is fine, but shot taking is just a random button mash. This is why I invariably end up back at NHL2004 and 09 with mods. But I'm trying with Legacy to tweak/update the sliders I've use for 10 years to see if I can provoke more interesting gameplay.

I can't believe I'm actually discovering something a decade after I first bought this game but I played a game on Super Star, leaving everything on Simulation, the default sliders and after I tweaked them up and down a bit I got a really really great game. I don't know what people always used to talk about it being too difficult?
So, I tried looking for the manual online to read up but I couldn't find one. What exactly what Super Star supposed to be? Crazy NHL Hitz arcade difficulty? It seemed more or less like Pro to me. Maybe I got lucky in this one game. I seem to remember talk about the level below having a lot of CPU comeback AI in it. Is there anything you know about what is different in your experience in Super Star?

I honestly can't say what the difference is, as I've always put it on the hardest setting and tweaked the sliders from there. Even if I could get the perfect game on Pro or All Star difficulty, I'd still switch it to Superstar knowing there's a more challenging setting. For me it has to be realistic but still fun.
