I don't like the idea of holding down pass for better/stronger passes. There are times when I start to hold the button down for a strong pass up ice, as I do, a defender skates in the passing lane and by the time the pass is released it is too late. Intercepted. NHL players are capable of passing hard, clean passes quickly. Not these dribble, drabble passes that we get from tapping pass. I think I will be playing with normal for my franchise. I just hope that the pass accuracy slider will allow some of my passes to be off the mark, and the CPU's as well.

To be honest its a joke that you need to hold down the button because the higher the skill level you play the quicker the cpu AI pressure you so you really dont get much time to do this on superstar.

I havent played the NHL 10 demo in 3 days but i was playing on superstar with normal passing which i found to be the best thing for me but i couldnt score because Fleury is a beast, i tried everything cycling, point blank shots from the slot, shots from the point and even when i would get a rebound Fleury would turn into ****ing NEO from the matrix and move at the speed of light to the other side of the net, i just got pissed of with it.

Are we still able to bank the puck off of the boards for a pass if we play on normal passing?

Myself, I don't like the passing on Hardcore either.

This having to "Power up" your passing just seems kinda odd. Imo, going with pressure sensitive passing would have made more sense. I really shouldn't complain though. Because I'm perfectly happy playing on normal.
