I think it's obvious it will be out soon, based on the release of the trailer & blog, and it may (stress may) even be out this week considering updates often go up on Thursdays and it would make sense from a marketing perspective.

However, from past interactions with devs regarding title updates, they're hesitant to give a specific date because once the product goes to MS/Sony for certification, the timing of the release is out of their hands. EA could be fully expecting and planning for the demo to drop on a specific date, only to have MS or Sony hold things up in the certification process.

So to prevent a "EA said it'd be out on this day... WTF!?!? " scenario that would create negative buzz around what should be a big positive, it's probably better for them to not give a specific date.

The thing is, they never said it would be out this week, just that it was off to MS cert and pretty much out of their hands but they expect it within the next week or two. If people choose to get their hopes up based on some nobody on an IGN forum thats their own fault really.
