Will Fighting Be Physics Based As Well?

Haven't seen any updates to the fighting, (which should copy 2K btw) but being they brought the Fight Night physics guy in, perhaps it is improved over last year..

Re: Will Fighting Be Physics Based As Well?

I want Fight Night / UFC Undisputed type blood annimations. Now I know it's a long shot from ever happening. Mainly because EA is like the Disney company when it comes to it's sports games, but still. Hockey is a violent game, and will not accurately be represented until they cross over that threshold, and become a "T" rated game. If a player gets a violent high stick to the mouth, I want to see teeth go flying and blood gushing onto the ice. Speaking of whgich that would be an "RPG" type effect if a player looses his teeth in a franchise game, they're gone for good and next time you see said player on the ice a few games down the road he would be missing teeth. Scars should be that way too. I would also like to see suspensions like in last gen for too many game misconducts, and even for on the ice disgressions like using your stick as a bat and a players head as a baseball. A la, the Marty McSworley Donald Brasheare incident. With varying length. As for fighting, yes it needs to be improved imo.

Improved - I hope so. Physics based - I'd be surprised.

I hope they don't make everyone (bench, ref, players, goalies) disappear during a fight, and that they got rid of the silly "victory" animations after a fight.

Agreed, would like to see the refs break it up too... I hate the "knockouts".

You can still have the fighting mini-game, just when someone loses their "health" you have them tumble to the ice with the victor on top, then the refs come in and break it up and escort the guys to the box..

Authentic, simple and effective!

no way - the last 3rd person fighting looked like 2 muppets wrestling.

I like the 1st person.
