Just blue-skying while I wait for 11.
While playing BEaGM, the further in, I kept thinking...25 years is a long time for things to remain relatively static (aside from the players aging and new one generated and the cap sneaking up).

Would it not be cool to have a message pop up at the end of a random year suggesting that the NHL owners have decided to expand to...oh...32, 34, 36 teams and that you will be forced to:
- protect only...say...12 forwards, 4 defensemen and a goalie
- that an expansion draft will take place the week before the entry draft
- that you have been offered a chance to either re-sign with your current team (or maybe take a role in a brand new expansion city), if your contract permits

I guess contraction could be on the list too???
- economics dictate that we are shutting down a team or two

Merging with the KHL (or one of the existing leagues in NHL)
-prompting road trips in Russia/Europe
* too politically charged???

Hey Guys here is a list of some of the improvements made to Be A gm Mode

CHL INTERGRATION
* The NHL Entry Drafthas been expanded to seven rounds for a true
authentic feel.
* With the integration of the CHL (Canadian Hockey league) this year's
Prospects game in be a gm mode will allow the user to play with real life
CHL players like Number 1 draft pick Taylor Hall.
* For the first time ever players from the CHL and any players from
European leagues that currently has an NHL rights team will be imported to
BE a GM
* Ability to draft real life prospects from the CHL and all five
European leagues
* Users will now have the ability to retain the rights of unsigned
rookies for 2 years
* If a player is not signed as an unsigned rookie, that rookie is able
to go back in to the Entry draft if he is still considered draft eligible
(less than 20 years of age).
* Users now have the ability to trade the rights to unsigned rookies
to other teams.

If they have his team already licensed and in yes. Other wise they'll do it in a roster update if he moves to a team in the game.
