Definitely going to try that. I just finished a game where I was down 3-2 to the Flames with about 7:00 to play and I ended up taking 4 consecutive penalties which had me short handed until the end of the game. They scored a power play goal while on a 5 on 3 power play. It just killed the momentum and enjoyment of what was a very fun game. And 3 of us 4 penalties were taken by my AI players which was even more frustrating.

My problem is I cannot score. Seems like goalies for CPU stop everything. You use manual or auto aim?

Tried OP. 80 penalty, 6 min, aim assist. Lost in shootout. Here is stats after reg time. The CPU pass % is only thing I see as off.

Even with those changes you were short handed 7 times. That’s still way too much.
I don’t even pay attention to passing % any more. The CPU is always 80+% because there are times when they’ll just pass back and forth across the blue line a dozen times. Makes no sense so I stopped trying to fix it.

I dont know your style of play so it could depend on what kind of shots you are getting on net... but with that said, have you tried taking down goalie reaction time a couple of ticks?

Got to try something, playing Arizona, I had double the shots, no goals, lost 0-2. I try all kinds of shots, always stopped. Other than that game is fun and great. Penalties seem fine for me, that game was 4 to 7.

Well checking just last nights 4 NHL games, games had 3/7, 5/5, 3/1, 7/5 on penalties. If I ever have inflated penalties, usually my fault sticking from behind, slashing or tripping.
