How's Your GM Mode Going?

My team made the playoffs. A game went to overtime and it was 4 on 4, and then went to a shoot out. I knew that before I started the franchise I had it on 5 on 5 continuous for the playoffs. I decided to keep going till the end and maybe restart my franchise, because I thought I messed up somehow. Round 2 game 6 went to overtime, and it was 5 on 5.

I guess it's like the pre game goalie stats where sometimes it shows their record and stats and then other times it has all zeros.

Well playoff hockey has me interested in playing nhl 15 again. So i started an oilers gm mode and simmed through the first season. Somewhere along the line my assistant coach waived fasth and the devils claimed him....after that I turned off all cpu help and manually edited for injuries. The oil finished 35-40-7. I used the latest rosters and turned off trading for the season. Interesting that Arizona finished 3rd last and of course the gutted sabres finished last by a mile. Nearing the deadline i lowered trading to easy and swapped first round picks with the sabres to mimic the way the lottery draft went. The Capitals beat the Blackhawks in 7 for the cup. It's now the day of 2015 draft. The oil have the top pick and trading is set back to medium and cpu-cpu trades are on once again.

Simmed a season with the Vancouver Canucks, ended up going 39-35-8, missed the playoffs. At the trade deadline, I traded Ryan Miller, Brad Richardson, 2015 2nd-round and 3rd-round pick, and a 2016 2nd-round pick for Anaheim's 2015 1st-round pick and Patrick Maroon.

At the draft, I had the 2nd and 5th overall picks, which I traded to Winnipeg for the 1st overall pick, and a 2016 2nd-round pick. You can guess who I picked first overall.

After the draft, I traded Luca Sbisa and Cal O'Reilly to Arizona for Zbynek Michalek and Max Domi.

My roster going into the season is:

Hey guys, I'm new here, and consequently can't make my own thread(s) just yet. But I have a burning question.

Whenever I play a game in my GM mode, the game-winning goal is almost always awarded to the incorrect player when I go look at the stats afterwards. I'm noticing that this seems to only happen when I win a game by two or more goals (e.g., I won a game 6-4, where Sam Bennett scored the GWG, but it was credited to Jonathan Drouin on the stat sheet). Other times, it doesn't award one at all.

What the hell causes this? I'm pretty sure this was present in other years' games.

This is only happening in user-controlled games.

Simmed my second season with the Vancouver Canucks, ended up going 38-38-6, missed the playoffs. Ended up with the first overall pick, and selected defenseman Sean Day. The rest of the draft, I ended up drafting players with some serious potential.

After the draft, I traded multiple players in multiple deals. Shipped out Frank Corrado, Dan Hamhuis, Chris Higgins, Brad Richardson, Derek Dorsett, a few picks, and didn't re-sign Radim Vrbata. Alex Burrows also retired. Brought in Niklas Hjalmarsson, Roman Josi, Connor Carrick, and Marcus Kruger.
