Gaborik is on pace for 57 goals (but only 82 points).

And Doughty is a +31 while the third defensive pairing is barely pulling a + overall. He is also on pace for 76 points where in real life he has only put up a career high of 59 and that was 5 years ago, and the next most was 40 points.

And only 5 PP goals through 26 games??? I take it that you are not seeing many penalties from the CPU?

No I'm pretty much getting contribution from all my lines. My lines are

Gaborik-Kopitar-Brown
Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
King-Stoll-Williams
Clifford-Richards-Lewis

Gaborik and Kopitar on line 1
Carter on 2
Stoll and Williams on 3
Lewis and Richards on 4.

In terms of PPG, yea, not seeing too many penalties by the CPU. I'm playing on 7 minute periods with penalties maxed out.

Sad that it plays that well and then starts Cam Talbot in net in GM mode against you. Kind of sucks the life out of any positives. I mean if the CPU won't start the starting goalie like many people have experienced then it really isn't even fun to me to play a franchise that is already so bare to begin with.

I just make up something in my head like maybe Lundqvist wasn't feeling well. I mean Talbot played in 21 games last year and had a 1.64 GAA with 3 shutouts. It worked as Cam shut me out.

Game 2 vs Calgary we go down 1-0 just 4 minutes into the game and it's a back and forth battle with both goalies playing well until late in the third period when Petro scores his first of the season to tie the game and with under a minute to go Tarasenko scores his first goal to give the Blues their first win on the season!

We have some days off and then we head to LA to take on the Stanley Cup Champions.

It does show the goalie stats before the game and even showed the top scorer so far (just 2 games) who played for the Flames and had 2 goals and 2 assists (forgot who it was).

Had 3 penalties for each team too, including a coincidental minor penalty on two players.

Shots were Calgary 32, Blues 31

Haha yeah, I do that stuff too. But it definitely takes the immersive feeling away when things like that keep occurring. A few people have stated that in simming GM games that EA was starting the backups around 50-75% of the time. Definitely needs to be addressed by EA.

Hockey is not like other sports. Coaches ride their goalies for the important match-ups. If anything you see back-ups play on the second day of a back-to-back situation, against a former team, because of injury or poor performance of the starter, or just great career numbers versus a certain team during the middle of the season. This game doesn't have any logic to really implement those instances. Though a few of them should be implemented by now with the advanced systems and stat tracking etc.

I agree with you.. I'm only a couple of games into my BeaGM season and Hiller had started all 3 games for Calgary so far. I start my backup on back to back games for the most part unless it's something like Chicago and LA back to back or I'll start him if my starter had a horrible game. It would be neat if they implemented stiff like, "Elliott isn't feeling well and should sit out the next game".

AS, 10 mins, default hardcore with penalties all the way up and a few things tweaked down a notch like pass interceptions, etc.. not much from default hardcore.

Game 3 vs the Kings.. lost 4-1 just can't put the puck in the net early on.

Made some line changes for the next game against the Coyotes.

LA did start their backup goalie who has played 1 more game than Quick.. so like some have said, I hope EA is looking into it.

I suggest if you must watch in at least 720p then to leave it a few minutes, it is however up and running and looking great in 480p right now.
