And finally question to people who have already simmed full season on next-gen and such, do prospects get better during the season if they are in the system (Aka not doing anything)? I watched the 2BC video for GM-mode on old-gen and he pointed out how players grew ALOT during the season if you played them in AHL etc. Since you can't really play them in AHL, do the player progress reports ever happen at all during season? Or do they just stick to current overall and maybe jump up during off-season?

Players do progress during and after the season. I had Scott Laughton jump from a 76 to 80 after the 1st season and a few players ended up with 15+ individual attributes.

Played my first Canucks game and lost 4-1 to Calgary. We both had 45 shots and 3 power plays each. I saw two shots leave the ice. I'm using default all star hard core with 12 minute periods. I felt the shots seemed too high. Sadly it was scoreless in the 3rd when the flames just uploaded on me and scored 4 in 2 minutes. Ugh.

Oh I wish I could figure out how to take clips from the XB1 DVR and share them. I uploaded it, so I can watch it on my computer. I might download a video capturing thing on my computer, so I can share it here.

Maybe the most satisfying goal I've ever scored on NHL. I was playing the Devils in my Be A GM. Leading 3-1 going into the 3rd period. And the Devils are just unloading on me all period long. Shots are like 18-2 in the 3rd period. They tie the game with just under 2 minutes to play. I think: "****, well I guess I'm playing for the OT point"

Not even a minute later, Parise takes it up the left wing, dekes around a defender, in all alone, forehand, backhand, finishes it with under a minute to play. 4-3, for the win.

I started a Chicago GM on the 360 just for a test of the draft. Here's what I got from my first year in the draft:

1st Round - Ryan Pilon (26th overall, 4.5 yellow stars)
2nd Round - Chris Thrower (56th overall, 4 yellow stars)
3rd round - Random (?th overall, 4 red stars)
The rest of my picks were 3.5 yellow or red star players. I love how this draft works now.

I was offered one before the season started. I don't remember what it was, but the CPU offered it to me.

I was actually a little confused by this is my first season. I played a few games and simmed most. Any time I check no matter where it was in the season my guys had not grown. So I simmed to the end of the season and a few had grown a fair bit. To start the next season a couple players had green progression before the season started. 2 had regression (Brodeur as backup) and Jake Gardiner had 2 points increase but the colour was yellow. I'm in December in year 2 and I've seen no more growth.

One thing I did find interesting was one of the players that I drafted had growth before the start of season 2.

So i have no ******* idea how it works.

Yep got my 1st trade offer last night from Florida, they offered me a 2nd round pick in 2015 draft for T. Jarry (Goalie) prospect.

I took it, mainly because I promised myself after I edited my trading block that the first trade I would receive I would take no matter what. Although them currently being the 28th team in the Standings is nice

Currently 15 games into the season, played every single game. Sitting at 10-4-1 record with the Penguins and 5th in the League behind Detroit, Rangers, Anaheim and LA.

Datsyuk leading the Points with 34 in 19 games, Zetterberg 2nd with 32p's and Stamkos third with 30 points in 18 games. Crosby has 25 points in 15 games and Malkin has 19 in 15. Crosby also leading the goals with 17 goals in 15 games.

Also I noticed while playing, I very very rarely get a goal or let a goal from a D-man. Rare being that in 15games out of all the D-man that have scored has been Phaneuf on me and Määttä for me. So yeah, currently Määttä is leading my D-man goals with 1 while everyone else has 0 on my team?

I messed with the sliders and while I have all other shooting stats toned down I kept the Slapshot stuff high and still haven't seen more then 2 goals total from all the D-man in 15games. Has anyone seen normal goal amounts from D-man while playing the game? (Not simming, just playing, I checked the League Standings and Simming D-man CPU is scoring normal amounts)

I couldn't get any goals from the d-men from the point in my time with the game either. Nor did I give up any. The only time my D ever scored was when I managed to get them into the high slot and let go of a wrister up high.

Very concerned about this.

Also, not good that Crosby is on pace for 73 goals in your season. And that Datsyuk is on pace for over 146 points. Especially when only one player cracked the 100 point plateau last season and nobody else even hit 90 points on the season.

After a slow start from Carter (took 8 games for his first goal), he's now 2nd on the team in goals behind Gaborik, and on fire.

Really been disappointed in the game so far... gameplay is much smoother but the realism is still bad. I am playing as the Predators (playing every game on superstar, hardcore) and Pekka Rinne is just awful. Can't seem to stop anything. I am currently 1-1-1 but the goal totals are too high. My previous Be a GM mode was also with the Preds. I started 4-0-0 but lost 8 in a row and couldn't bounce back. I have no problem losing games but would like to see better goalie play. Anyone else having this problem? I don't know if my defense is just that bad. Any tips on defense? Lots of goals being scored in the slot, I've taken away most of the one-timers but most of the goals now are just easy wrist shots finding their way in. Pretty frustrating that I can't get his save percentage anywhere close to 90.
