Must, must see video. He beat me to it. I'll try to do one with real-life NHL examples as well.

I stopped watching half way through because I couldn't take it anymore. This is the biggest problem with the series.NHL REVAMPED ROSTERS - CO-CREATOR -

Disgusting, and another unacceptable step backwards from last year's horrible next-gen outing.Comment

Re: Must Watch Video—Player Differentiation
This doesn't come to a surprise to most of us that have been playing this game. But it is nice to see someone provide some tangible video evidence. The saddest part to me is that this is just one glaring issue atop hundreds of others with this game.
And once again we, the consumers, are essentially left begging for just the simple additions of the last gen features in our next gen game. EA has set the bar so low that their success will be based off of things that should be taken for granted by now. And if they reach those heights people will be ecstatic because the cloth that has been shrouding their eyes for so long has been slightly pulled down to provide a tiny bit of vision. Thus making it seem like this company has some semblance of a clue, when they clearly do not with hockey.Comment

Also, what I find even worse about all of this is that these are things (player ratings/player separation) the vast majority of users didn't think were good enough on last gen. The fact that you now have to reference last gen as being superior in this department really shows how brutal this series has become.Comment

Re: Must Watch Video—Player Differentiation
NHL guys..sorry welcome to the dark ages..we football fans have been here since 2008. Last gen was the start of our discontent..8 years later..we are still pulling ourselves out of the hole it seems they just threw y'all into..pray for a miracle because ultimate team rules all. If and only if this affects they sales will they change anything drastically other than a tweak here and there for the next 2-4 yearsComment

Re: Must Watch Video—Player Differentiation
And actually I'm a fan myself I just haven't played a NHL game since nhl11..bought 08-11 and from then on I kinda got bored of it..I did have 2k8 & 10 and I liked going back and forth between the two..it was like ea hockey was regular season hockey of this era and 2k was playoff hockey from the late 90s..different feel but fun to choose which made me get more time out of each without boredom setting in. I miss those days. Growing up with Sega Genesis and having like 6 hockey games to decide from spoiled me I guess..Stanley cup championship hockey on SNES anyone? Tecmo hockey? Brett hull hockey? Mario lemieux hockey? Mutant league hockey even..lolComment

Re: Must Watch Video—Player Differentiation
It seems pretty obvious that with NHL, EA just isn't really interested in creating a great game. Just one that maximize profit with as little investment as absolutely possible. I suppose a game like Madden for example can survive something like this long term. But i'm not so sure NHL can. The last time i looked, the sales numbers for NHL 15 across four platforms was embarrassingly bad. If EA's history means anything, it's going to take nearly this entire gen to right this ship, if at all.1969 NFL ChampionsComment
