CPU vs CPU problems

I can't seem to get penalties to be where I want them to in CPU cs CPU GM mode.

Anywhere I look for sliders I serm to be brought to ones that people have for User vs CPU

Each time I feel like I'm at the best possible sliders, something goes wrong. Either no penalties, or penalties one after another.

Either no hits, or players go flying unrealistically.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

I will try and share my sliders and feedback later today.

Remember this is for CPU vs CPU, which I've found out is a totally different animal to mess with.

Penalties are borked in NHL 17 regarding CPU vs CPU games. I tried all sorts of slider settings to fix the issue with no success, and all you need to do is watch the constant hooking and slashing animations to see that there is no slider fix. So I just ended up turning penalties off completely which is disappointing. NHL 17 is still the best computer hockey game we have ever seen. But it is really far behind what MLB The Show, NBA2K and yes even what Madden can do regarding CPU vs CPU game play.

Totally realized that now, you are 100% correct.

Good news and bad news..

Good news - I finally found a set of custom sliders that I was really happy with (just got the game about a month ago).
99% of the calls were slashing and hooking even with them turned way way down but the actual amount of penalties per game I was satisfied with.

Bad news - this new patch that just came out and seems to have screwed everything up again.

Even though the penalties and hits per game weren't on average with the real NHL, they felt perfect for the 7min periods I had set, and the flow of the game.

Sadly the new update has made it feel like things need to be adjusted again
