I have an easy solution to satisfy EASHLers who want to just play with their friends, and give EA another mode that can make them money. Give EASHL a HUT makeover.

Let each EASHL hockey club earn packs of cards to comprise their HUT-EASHL team. For the EASHL side of things, now you have something to work for to get a better team / better players instead of using the same generic stock 80ish overall players every game. For EA, it gives them the opportunity to make even more money off of people buying packs, which we know is all they care about. EASHLers get the attention they need, and EA gets to make more money which they need.

EASHL is my favorite game mode because I get to play in a party with my friends, but it has become stagnant because my guy has the same ability when I buy the game in September as he does in February. I don't think the solution is to make players overall level up as the play because then everyone is playing with all 99 overall players eventually. Maybe if you capped the players progression like FIFA does that would work. But by moving to a HUT format, you have to work auction houses to get the top players or spend money on packs which EA would love. Hell with 6 guys all controlling one teams roster build-up, you might even be more likely to buy packs to help the squad.

It seems like a win-win for everyone involved, what do you guys think?
