I swear 2k10 was the last year they made it? I know I went to the 2k headquarters and met Ronnie and came back here and reported what I saw and was called a 2k fan boy for it. But Ronnie was hell of cool and tall lol.

2k10 was the end of the "real" console era for 2k Sports hockey. 2k11 was released only for the Wii, and not on the 360 or PS3. That was the end of the road for this series. They show no signs of ever coming back.

Thanks for the input guys. It's really interesting to see both versions and approaches side by side, especially with EAs new attempt on skating and physicality, this year.
Here is a gameplay comparison. It is sometimes hard to see where the actual puck/play is, but hopefully, you can get a "feel" of the flow from it.

The simulator looks great from that camera angle . Great job and Im looking forward to giving it a go.

I wished the new generation of nhl had kept the option to edit the camera angle like the old gen.

I have an older version of this game running on my PC. My main gripe is that the team rosters are from 2011. Is there a way to play 2KHS with current or even some what updated rosters?

Sure, anybody can easily create team/player/roster/sliders and share it with others.
