Boxer ground skills

How are boxers able to control wrestlers so easily. If I have a 10 point stat disadvantage in the stand up against a boxer, it doesn't come close. If I have a 20 point advantage on the ground we're evenly matched. They are able to hold and deny, right after I deny them, if my denial works at all. When stats are similar or close I find the game Responds well, but a big advantage doesn't yield any results. The only time I see ground over powering is when someone has a fighter with 90 plus ground skills. Can the Devs please respond to this.?? I have seen and read similar threads and I've yet to see the dabs respond to any of them could you please answer and address this issue? Thank you

Re: Boxer ground skills

I'm with you on this. I've watch the ground game videos. There are times I can deny, then there are those instances when I have full stamina, the opponent is drained, and they pull off a reversal to top mount and i'm stuck transitioning, and finally I get KTFO.

I actually think the standup disadvantage for a ground fighter is similar to the ground disadvantage for a boxer the problem is the chin disadvantage. I can still pick apart a maxed out striker with my ground fighter it's just that he only needs one combo to put me away.

42 out of 80 is the default chin stat for BJJ fighters.

So lame.

There's nothing that compares to the boxer to start a UT.

Re: Boxer ground skills

Issues like this probably stem from lagg (poor latency), the way actions function in games is usually queued on ticks. If your opponent has a poor ping for example, it may take a while for your actions to be registered in game and they miss the required tick and are queued for the next one.

For example my heavyweight has a 90+ takedown defence but will seemingly refuse to deny takedowns no matter how well i time my denial attempt at times especially in a very laggy match. The ground game i'd argue is more timing intensive than the standup making this an issue for some players.
