Who U Rolling With?

I thought it would be nice to have thread to discuss our teams and the fighters we roll with. I'll go first:

Lightweight Division:

Gotta be honest, I don't like to play lightweight. The volume of strikes and the pace is a bit too much for me and you only play Conor.

5 Star Stud: Striker Conor

Yeah, you gotta play with him or get smacked around hard. I can't play southpaw that good and don't like to spend points on switch stance so I'm usually rolling with 70-75 chem Switch and playing orthodox. Not a good place to start.

The moves are nice and you can build decent ground game too. But I only play for the dailies. I have nice moves and can work him to +75 easily, even up to 85-88 range with little compromises.

4 Star Fighters: Grappler Khabib Nurmagomedov, Striker Conor

No sense playing with 4 star Conor. Khabib can outwrestle five star Conor, but u can have decent enough stats to defend against Khabib and of course you will punish him hard standing up.

Middleweight Division:

5 Star Stud: Balanced CM Punk

LOVE playing with Balanced CM Punk. He has just enough slots on standing to make him nicely rounded out fighter with enough variety on moves. One slot more would make him GOLDEN.

You can easily make him TOP-SUBO-BOT-SUBD heavy grappler with good enough Takedown attributes. So 4 cat excellent, 1 cat good at least. Haven't experimented with Clinch as I don't clinch that much.

Slots are evenly matched so there is too many clinches for my taste, but that only takes away from chem.

His health attributes are very decent, can get everything over 80 (maybe not legs) and most important ones over 90. I usually use 3-4 standup perks and 1-2 grappling perks with him.

He has good reach compared to many other fighters and doesn't feel sluggish at all even with his height and all. Not the most nimble one out there, but more than effective. I feel he is better than Buffer.

4 Star Fighters: Grappler GSP, Specialist CAF, Striker Tyron Woodley

GSP is decent, but lacks too much standup on my liking.

Specialist CAF has the makings of an excellent ground game and feels better than for example 4 star Jon Jones Specialist. But can't stand for ****. He gets a pass here as there is no Cormier to fight against. Mostly either 4 star characters or Buffer who he can beat on the ground.

Striker Woodley feels very good, but I'd maybe prefer Whitaker or Brawler-Woodley over him. Haven't used him for awhile now after got my CM Punk.

3 Star Fighters: Striker Chris Weidmann

He was actually decent feeling fighter with nice reach back in the days. Haven't used him in months though.

Heavyweight Division:

5 Star Stud: Grappler Daniel Cormier

It is what it is. He has some heavy hands on him, but would really need at least one slot more for more complete standup. You can build him up to powerful and rather speedy striker with excellent block, but have to compromise on head movement and footwork. He is hurt by the fact that many power cards have speed minuses on them AND many moves (like overhands and haymakers) come on POWER boosts only. At least for me.

For the ground slots he has too many clinch and takedown slots and would need more subs and ground slots for better chemistry. I usually can't build him even over 60. And many his signature cards have TOP+ and he has high Top on the go.

Health for him is easy to build up strong.

I'm in trouble if my opponent is a good striker and competent on the ground. In those cases he can be ineffective to use. I love his uppercut and haymaker based combos tho.

4 Star Fighters: Striker Andre Bishop, Specialist Jon Jones, Brawler Stipe Miocic

BEAST standing up. Can eat opponents block and just plast through em with ease. Best feel on the game as far standup goes. But also close to being unplayable as his ground slots are very limited. Either you choose BOT+SUBD or TDD. And if you go with TDD, it is one takedown against Cormier and you are ****ed for good. With BOT+SUBD you are on your back most of the time. So... Haven't used him that much even if he feels the best standing up.

Jon Jones is ***, I hate him. Slow and long-legged is not a good combo.

Miocic feels like **** too. Just slow and sluggish, not feeling him at all.

Bantamweight (?) Division:

5 Star Stud: Brawler Amanda Nunes

Best card thus far. Absolute maniac standing up with stunning Healt attributes. Can be build to have three out of four categories of excellence in BOT+SUBD+TOP+SUBO with decent fourth one.

I'm winning most my bouts with her. If its something else than another 5 star Nunes? Game over.

4 Star Fighters: Balanced Rose Namajunas, Brawler Amanda Nunes

Both are solid. Nunes has a slight edge on Rose, but nothing impossible to overcome. I like both. Not anymore obviously.

3 Star Fighters: Striker CAF

I'm maybe planning on turning her to 5 star TOTY fighter. It is interesting to see can she hang with five star Nunes. I think not quite, but have to see when I get to build her up.

What fighters are you looking for?

- 5 Star Balanced WBW CAF
- 5 Star Lightweight TOTY fighter, either Balanced or Brawler

Wouldn't mind Heavyweight Striker or Brawler against Cormier, but don't have Heavyweight CAF to transform right now. Have to think about using my daily tokens to make him. It would be better than WBW CAF.

Definitely want to have Tony or someone else to go against Conor in LW division. Definitely.

Re: Who U Rolling With?

5 star Buffer is better than 5 star Punk in my opinion.
Also, 4 star Hughes and 4 star Wanderlei Silva are both better than 4 star GSP (but if you didn't pick them up, it's too late now).

The only thing I want or ever wanted was 5 star CAFs. At least there would be a variety visually.

I was so close to getting my Hughes to elite. Whomp whomp whomp.

Now 5* CAF would be a game changer which would be tight and possibly make me play the career mode. I missed the CAMP cause I said F it id never play Career mode.

I fought someone the other day (Ranked) and all their stats were basically 100 for their CAF. Imagine that with a 5*? Does it even work that way? I don't play any other mode so I'm not sure if that's how it even works lols.

If you fought a CAF that had 100s in mostly everything, then they must have had potion cards from the Halloween promo applied which raise stats up to 30 points with no negatives. Those cards expire after one fight though.

No this guy I fought wasn't in Ultimate Team. He came into my stream and wanted some so I went into quick fight and destroyed em. If he went into UT with his CAF I think it would of been crazy with a 5*

Re: Who U Rolling With?

Right now i'm rolling with

LW: 5 star Conor (not as awesome as I thought it would be because you fight a ton of other 5 star conors, thus negating the advantage.. hah)

MW: Using my 4 star elite CAF striker. Extra slots for the grappling help him hold his own on the ground too. (I'd take a 5 star TOTY Whittaker as only replacement for now (unless others become available) because he's balanced. 4 star version isn't worth it)

HW: Just a regular 3 star caf striker (I want to ideally replace him with a TOTY Stipe Miocic 4 or 5 star)

WBW: Rocking my new 5 star Amanda Nunes brawler. Love her. Unlike in LW where you're if you have a 5 star conor you're facing majority other 5 star conors, in Womens, I'm fighting just normal 3 star fighters and occasional elite so I have a big advantage. My new favorite weightclass to fight in. (before i got the 5 star nunes I was using a 3 star joanna)

What I'm looking for, like I said before, definitely would love to pull a stipe from the TOTY packs and get him to elite or master level. Then I'll have an entire team of 4 and 5 star fighters. 2 strikers and 2 brawlers. So far I've been pulling nothing but garbage (aside from a couple good moves from the TOTY packs). EA screws us with the packs anyway. It always takes like 50 pack openings to get something you want or decent.

I highly doubt I'm going to pull a Stipe card before the whole TOTY thing ends. Wish they added more options for fighters in heavy weight class.

Hoping whatever the next UT "special thing" is better and gives a more realistic chance to get 4 and 5 star moves and fighters.

Re: Who U Rolling With?

i only play offline single player but i use:

LW: gold striker conor (wish i could play him more but i'm so sick of mirror matches)

MW: i switch between an elite balanced whittaker and an elite balanced CAF (i actually did gameface and made a pretty decent rockhold, really wanted to play him in UT but haven't been able to get him so i improvised, used to have this CAF as a rory but the height is stuck at 6'3 so it felt weird, actually worked out perfect because rockhold is 6'3 lol)

HW: elite grappler DC

WBW: elite balanced valentina

pretty happy with my fighters/moves, got all of em set up with moves they actually use in real life.
