Back flat postured up

It's freaking awesome. When playing against YouTube combos and other dumb stuff it's great fun to get to that position.

If you hasn't tried it, you should.

It can finish the fight, fast. Especially if opponent spazzes. I wouldn't mind if it had decreased stamina and maybe a little bit easier to escape.

I have literally never successfully used back mount, or had it successfully used against me.

So, what's your general strategy?

I keep meaning to try getting Back Flat and canceling their transitions with baby punches until I decide to posture up and rain down, but I always forget.

Re: Back flat postured up

I finished many many fights in this position, in many cases, the opponent search to go back in half guard and this is a mistake, the shots are so heavy in this position, so enjoyment. But you must have almost all your stamina. Train with someone in this position, you will understand.

Position is almost useless because of stamina drain. Question for devs: why u won't add stamina drain to all postured up?

There's no way to "break posture" from sub back mount flat in real life.

So there's that.

Also, when the talent starting doing the mocap they were saying how much work it was to hold the idle, and that they could never do it while striking for a sustained period of time.

So I figured why not solve the first problem by leveraging the real life properties of the athleticism involved in that position.

Make it super dangerous from a strike damage perspective, but auto posture down and a high stamina drain.

Made sense at the time.

I personally like having each position have a slightly different meta, so this seemed like a great option to give this position some flavor and utility without being too OP.
