ideas to add to ea ufc 3
so after playing this game since it came out, i feel like this is a really good game, that just need some tweaking,but can also add some features to make it great(in my opinion)
so here is my list for things that will improve the game(in my opinion):
block breaking:when we first boot up the game and play the mcgregor ferguson experience, i want that when the player rocks ferg for the first time, the game will stop and will give you this message:
"your opponent was hurt by a powerful strike and is blocking his head to avoid further damage. to break the block, enter this combo:jab,jab,straight,left hook"
than we will see the grey figure and inputs and until the player doesnt do it, the fight wont advance. this way people will learn how to break the block without a problem and wont complain the block is to much, because the second i discovered this combo, my life became a whole lot easier, and its a level 1 boxing combo, so basically everyone will have it.
lunging strikes: i want to be able to combo a small lunge(left stick lunge) into basic strikes.
right now, you can lunge and than strike,but i want the option that by lunging with the left stick the punch followed by it will be faster. i think this will create an explosive feeling, as you will be able to explode with a strike forward, surprising your opponet.
feints into lean: i want the option to feint a strike, and follow it by an immediate lean.
as of now i feel feints are not really useful, but if i could lean right after a feint with no delay, there are options for incredible setups(feint jab to draw opponent straight, lean left to counter with hook. right now you cant feint and lean fluidly.)
change side leans: this is for aesthetic purposes only.
i think the side leans are exagerreted, and making them do the same thing but use a bit less whole body movement and more head will look better(think aldo vs holloway 2, before aldo gased. more aesthetic).
takedown defence:i want that the defence will change based on when you denied. basically i want the mechanic that happen near the cage happen everywhere. if denied late, use the animation of balancing on one leg even when not near the cage. will be more realistic than sprawling all the time .
different strike animations: when i picked rockhold, i was excited for the question mark kick and how beutiful it is. after ten minutes i saw a big problem: the setup for the regular body kick and the question mark kick is so different, that almost nobody falls for it. i think that we need more variations on basic attacks, to make fighters unique and more confusing to the opponent, because thats the whole purpose of ? mark kicks: fake low go high. right now nobody falls for it.
sloppy strikes:right now a common theqnicue online is to pick a grappler and strike with him, because the animations of strikes are the same. i think grapplers who are known for bad standup(maia,khabib) should get sloppier strikes, because right now people will use them as striker, with the gurantee that if the fight will hit the ground, they have major advantage, and standing up, their not at a great disadvantage.
combo builder:for offline only, i want the ability to build my own combos. you can think of it like sliders that change other stuff in game. a lot of people want to be creative and i say, let them! it will make offline really fun and possibly hillarious, and will also give the option to show devs combos we want in game that are not in yet, and let them decide if they think they should be added to the game and be used online.
everything here is stuff i think will be awesome if added. feel free to disagree and/or give your own ideas, just keep it positive!
