This game will never work until movement consumes stamina

The reason these fights look so unrealistic is the stamina system. Anyone who trains MMA knows that movement is extremely tiring. Even basic footwork is a struggle for anyone who hasn't trained. It takes so much energy that your muscles start to shut down. In EA UFC 3, players are moving around the octagon like Michael Jackson. They are dancing machines slipping and swaying all around the ring constantly while swinging punches and headkicks.

They keep trying to alter reality and bypass basic physics with the combo meter, grapple advantage, combo queue, head tracking, etc. All of this is compensating for the stamina system where movement is an unlimited resource. It needs to be tied to stamina otherwise the system will continue to be broken. Once movement consumes stamina then you will see long-term stamina drain that makes sense, and consequences for your actions in the cage. This absolutely needs to be patched in as soon as possible.

We don't know how it would work tho. It could be trash. But it would be cool to see something like that Implmented properly

Yup. Right now dudes are leaning till their head touches their knee and moonwalking and jiving around like Michael Jackson for 5 rounds and they're still fresh. Game looks janky. It just looks janky. I don't know how else to describe it. It's like two guys sliding in mud juking and jiving back and forth until someone can get a rock off a counter.

Was UFC 2 also goofy looking with all the combos? Yeah, but at least it flowed and felt fun. This just feels, janky.

If there was a significant stamina drain for movement, atop of body shots, the game would end up just being a brawlfest with the inability to fight like moving backwards. Guys like Machida can do it over 5 rounds, Condit did it over 5 rounds too.

The only thing that prevents this game from being realistic imo, is that feints don't really do anything. It'd be cool if you could feint into combos, like feint the jab and then come up with the high kick.

I think this love triangle of three dudes liking each other's posts in solidarity is cringeworthy, but head movement should definitely have a stamina tax.

Great. Give those guys perks or something. I shouldn't be able to do with Heavyweights.

Eh, lets not add more factors into stamina logic until they nail the striking output/drain first.

Agreed. I made this video back in december after the beta.
Point 2 and 3 already got fixed.
Point 1 is the same you are talking about.
