Anyone feel backing up is a little slow?

It seems to me when backing up the guy feels stuck in the mud alot of times. Since theres no more backward dash (at least I cant find one) the only 2 options is to walk backwards or lean. While the opponent can "Run" at you.

Anyone Remember Stipe vs Werdum?

1. the backward locomotion needs a slight increase in speed
OR
2. there needs to be a dash or run backwards (or something of the sort)

any thoughts?

Probably my timing with it but I'm struggling too. I find when I do try the dash back or whatever the fighter lunging forward covers the same distance anyway.

No problem.

After playing around with it I figured out you can flick backwards with left thumbstick or right thimbstick to lunge backwards.

How do you do the quick evade where the fighter sort of leads with their hips going backwards to quickly Dodge a low strike? I've seen it in videos.

Timing the right stick flick with L1 held causes either evade to happen depending on the strike. ie jumping backwards to avoid leg kicks, pushing the hips back to avoid body and the head is a lean that evades decently. Don't quote me on it but i think you can also do it with the left stick with L1.

Also you can queue a lunge after the first lunge so holding L1 and flicking the stick back twice will cause a double lunge then you can circle out easier
