Career fighter won't do moves

I did a my career and created the guy. He does all his moves in training, and it says they're assigned, but he won't do them in actual fights. He won't do any big punches or special transitions I've purchased. Anyone know why?

Have you actually assigned the moves to your moves list a la dunk packages in 2k basketball?
