I wasn't referring to your post really. Just the initial reviews of the game where many said the controls were too complicated.

One of the most effective combos in the game is a jab to a R1/RB hook. With combo speed, this can be very effective. The R1/RB hook most fighters have also covers a good distance.

For 19.99 maybe. It needs an event mode to pay full price on it IMO. UFC 3 is better in gameplay. The fighters feel like clay dolls moving around awkwardly in next gen. I have it and I regret buying it for 29.99. So all the best man.. I'd say no.

As cheap as it is right now it's definitely worth a purchase.

Edit: Oh, if you want it mainly for the career mode then no, it's not worth a purchase. Career was alright when the game was first released, but with the last patch EA really ruined the gameplay offline. If you play against the CPU on Pro difficulty it's not fun at all, not because it's difficult but just because it's extremely unrealistic.

If you're interested because you're looking to have some fun online then yes, it's definitely worth a purchase. It takes some time to get the controls down, but once you do it's a lot of fun.

Hello there, fish. Didn't realize you were on this forum as well.

But yeah, you make a good point. If you plan on buying this game strictly for Career mode then you want to make sure to keep it offline and not install any of the patches. Prior to the patches Career wasn't too bad. It could be a lot better, but it was solid for EA's first attempt.

After the patches though, woooohhhheeee... it's almost unplayable.

Yeah. On here because this is where they get a lot of their offline feedback since this community is mainly offline players.

It's a no brainier pick up for $10 if you like UFC. This is the only sports game where the gameplay is good enough that I'll play even lacking a good franchise/career mode (although I did end up making my own.)
