More options to attack the body on the ground

There arent really that many options to attack the body on the ground. There's full guard, half guard, side control, sprawl, and north/south. Most of which don't do very much damage. I found the best so far to be full guard postured up, as it's fairly easy to deny the standup and the attacks to the body do a fair bit of damage.

In half guard, it's too easy to get flipped over, so the risk isn't worth it, and in side control, people tend to spam transition attempts so the knee animation gets interrupted. North/South and sprawl punches don't do very much damage.

I think perhaps they should add knees to the body from back side control.

Re: More options to attack the body on the ground

Knees to the body from back side would be ace. I absolutely agree.

There isn't really a way to knee anyone in the body on the ground atm. Like you said, with side control, you'll never get the chance to pull off a knee (which does barely any dmg anyway) unless they literally sit there and let you do it. Any transition is too fast for it.

Let's have knees to the side from back side, that deal a decent amount of damage, similar damage to a knee to the body from full MT clinch perhaps?

We should be able to do what Lawler did the Hendricks at end of there second fight. Elbows, punches, knees, just violent body attacks on the ground.

I say that from purely offensive standpoint, from a defensive standpoint I'm okay the way it is now, lol

lol

Heck, even with the current options available, the amount of damage body shots on the ground cause is very insignificant. You can land 5 straight knees to the body in side control and turn someone's body from white to....whitish pink...yea let me land 5 huge knees to your liver and let me know what you think

At the least, needs to drain more perma stam

They should make it that you can tko someone on the ground due body strikes. I know it doesnt happen often, but hard strikes clean to the ribs should be breaking them. It's like body strikes don't do anything on the ground, or am i wrong maybe?

Maybe i'm asking for allot, but what do you guys think?

Just a suggestion

I'm up for TKOs from body strikes. Don't make it EASY but it should be possible

Just like if you land 15 unanswered elbows in single collar, you should be dead...lol

Re: More options to attack the body on the ground

EA still isn't there yet when it comes to strike variety on the ground. I think you should be able to strike to the body or head in pretty much any position except north/south. They need to take notes from undisputed..in that game you could knee, elbow and punch to the body in back side and side control.
