Online latency improvements coming with patch 1.07

There were so many deleted latency threads, I couldn't find the best one to reply to so I'm adding to the problem and creating a new one.

One of the big changes for online that's coming in patch 1.07 are some changes to the network code that look to improve the online experience when playing under less than ideal conditions.

These changes may not impact everyone, or every symptom of latency (nothing can remove it entirely) but these changes should significantly improve playability during high packet loss situations.

What does that mean?

This change will not eliminate latency, so if you used to experience a small delay in inputs responding when playing online, that will behave the same after this patch.

However, if previously you were playing an online match and the game began to stutter or you experienced micro pauses, this change should smooth that out considerably and make the game playable where it previously wasn't.

Our QA team has reported dramatic improvements under certain high stress scenarios, so the changes look promising.

We are interested in your feedback once you've played a bit with the new patch.

Nice I hope there is some sort of connection indictor for fights so we can see for sure who's responsible for lag if any.

This actually got me excited. Hasn't been too much with the gameplay patches that have. Not that they weren't good, but they were just minimalistic because there really wasn't too much wrong with the game to begin with.
