Once again, a choice. This game sold well over 1,000,000 copies. We have a limited number of people posting. Even at launch. Still think it isn't a choice? I get that the forums went down and we were redirected here. However, this place is run how a forum should be. They had one mod for the EA forums, and an outdated mod tool kit. Had they took the time to fix the forums like we asked even before the first game was launched, it never would have went down. EA let that happen. Sometimes companies need a kick in the *** to get them to do something. This will be a positive. Although, not likely for the people who think these forums are too strict.

EA hopefully learned from this, and is taking the steps to make sure it can never happen again. Like it or not, this would have happened anyways. I had to take care of a troll as a mod who posted porn for 8 hours on end. I was the only mod, and sat there deleting every single thread for 8 hours on end.

That guy was allowed back though because something happened to him in the real world that shook him up, and the person responsible let him come back. Against my wishes because of the time I spent, but worth it because the guy became a productive member. Plus I had the knowledge of what happened and it was satisfying enough. I know for a fact that guy doesn't do it anymore.

It's not a choice. Period. If we want to continue to be a part of the community WE CREATED, we have to come here. That is the only option.

Leave the community you've been a part of for ever, or come here. That's it.

So, you think people should be allowed to try and drive others away? What does it matter who was being attacked? The fact that they couldn't stop it is on them. They stopped it here didn't they? I loved the forums too, but what can I do when people try to blame you for what is wrong with a game? Funny thing is, people blamed me for Undisputed 3. Now Undisputed 3 is like some game that EA must achieve. So where did all that blame go? The game was horrible because of me, but now it is the best game there was? You see the contradiction?

I didn't let it bother me that they blamed me, and believe me it was a lot more than still blame me now. I know that wasn't the case. Just like the issues with this game aren't my fault. Or the first one. The objective is to give feedback on what you believe is wrong with the game. When someone doesn't agree with you, they need to back it up with why. The same type of people who blame others for a game, are the same type of people who never give good feedback. Or if they do, it is so rare that you would sooner see a unicorn.

Wait till they reopen the real forums for the game. You better hope they don't bring back the T guy, cuz this place is paradise compared to his moderation. I seen him ban a guy for calling Jason Nawara a bum. Which, funny enough, he played one in a video.

I just wanna make sure we're calling a spade a spade here.

This forum is by far the most intensely strict forum i'v ever seen in my life.

I have thousands of posts over the years on MTGSalvation, TheSource, SBNation, etc, and i'v never seen anything like this place.

This is a strict place and they are nothing like those other sites. There are people who have been here for years. Why aren't they banned? They conformed.

Let me put it this way. Say you have a house and you let guests come over. Now this is a special party you are having. A BYOB, costume party. (I don't know, just some ****.) Now people come and don't bring beer and don't wear costumes. Do you let them stay? Do you tell them it is a BYOB costume party, and to go get some beer and at least a sheet. Or do you let them drink your beer and ruin the ambiance of the party?

You make them follow your rules. For everyone's sake. Nobody wants a mooch at a party, and no one wants a guy dressed as himself there either when everyone else is dressed as someone/something else.

This is their party, and their rules apply.

I dont know about that now.

I didnt think they were amazing at all. Putting aside the Fishingtime stuff, I found that there was a ton of trolling there and that you had to navigate that to get to real feedback.

I'm sure the devs didnt love it there either. Ive seen them personally attacked several times at the old forum.
