Quick Reminder - Listen to the mods

Just a quick reminder - listen to the mods here. They have very specific instructions on how this forum and OS as a whole is to be moderated. If you have a question regarding one of them you may message me directly, but constant bickering and questioning of them in the forum itself will earn you a permanent ban (and for those wondering why permanent - it's the only one we give on OS).

Ain't hard to follow the rules which should stop you from offending to begin with.

The rules have worked for the rest of this site for over 5 years. No reason why they cant work in the UFC forum.

So these fools that are posting male porn in these threads shouldn't have been permabanned just because it was their first offense??? Cool. Also these rules have been in place for as long as I have been here and definitely longer and there haven't been problems before. Also you agreed to following these rules and that you were fine with a first time offense leading to a permanent ban when you agreed to the TOS of this site. So give me a logical reason why this should change for this forum?

ok i agree posting things like male porn should result in a perma bann but i have seen people getting perma banned for arguing. Also the arguing hasnt been that offensive, we are all aldults here i cant see why we cant express our disapointment. at least give a time ban first and if they come back with the same attitude then you can give the perma bann.

No one here has been banned for arguing. At least not from what Ive seen. Some people are claiming thats the case on other forums but it wasnt true at all.

No one has an issue with arguing as long as you dont personally insult someone or attack the devs. I would say 50-60% (maybe more) of the people here have some beef or complaint about the game and thats fine. But you have to be able to be constructive in your complaint.

You cant just post "this game or this feature sucks". You have to support that with a description of why it sucks and preferably have a suggested solution or ask the community if there is one.

If you make a post about an issue with the game and there is already a big thread about that issue, dont make a new thread. Use the thread thats already been made. We dont need 6 threads about issues with the clinch or the combo multiplier.

OS isnt going to let you call the devs lazy or say they dont work hard. We know thats not true and OS isnt going to promote an environment where Devs can be bashed.

Those are the big rules. Now the EA forums are back open so if people are unhappy they can always go back. There are no rules there and people are allowed to say what they want to say with no threat of a ban.

But the devs arent likely going back there with no moderation. So if people want to interact with the devs and have intelligent constructive conversation about the game....Its has to be at OS.

And if its at OS, that means you have to abide by its rules. Like I said, the rules work for every other forum. No need to change them just because a few people cant follow the rules.

Yep I haven't seen anyone get banned for arguing at all. Like in a thread the other day a guy that is now banned brought up something a Dev said. And people thought he was banned for that. Well guess what he wasn't I didn't even need to read the full post or know what was being talked about to understand why he was banned. He said maybe this will make the devs work harder, which is trolling or insulating at VIP. Both of which are against the TOS.

Also Trillz, read through this thread about why it's a zero tolerance forum. http://www.operationsports.com/forum...iscussion.html
