Re: strikes in sprawl position

u know at some point it s time to accept the truth: I play this game since release day and one thing is more and more obvious- it feels like beta, mechanics feels half cooked, unbalanced, it all just encourages unrealistic glitchy play style, and reading UFC dev replies on this forum, I don't think he really cares about who majority of players think and how game works for them

This and knees to the body from the side are my most wanted ground striking additions

Re: strikes in sprawl position

Remember when there was NO SPRAWL in the launch version of UFC 1 ???

I'm very happy there's even a sprawl now haha

That said -- the sprawl is a bit unsatisfying in this game, for sure. A bit robotic or perhaps too simplistic and based too much on 'rock paper scissors' type of game

and strike from top sprawl is definitely boring lol

I won't say it's *only* a stall tactic --- b/c it's useful for setting up transitions --- but yea, people often have no problem just sitting on ya for a minute, throwing baby body shots and trying to deny everything you do

At least they patched it a bit where you slowly gain GA if you're Sprawl Sub to help you get out of that situation --- but still kinda lame haha

(you should definitely be punished for missing a takedown don't get me wrong!)

Re: strikes in sprawl position

I win most my fights from sprawl. I would say 60%. It's so easy to block left and right escape and when they try to stand do the transition reversal submission and works almost every time. I hate saying it but I thing top sprawl is way overpowered just from that one move. Another escape should be added for the down on stick. Left, right and up are way to easy to block right now. But sprawl is dangerous in real life so I guess staying out of it is key. Just my 2 cents on it. I'm a average player but the sub reversal is easy and a killer.

yup -- usually if they deny my first transition attempt; i'll just sit there in the bottom forever. Even if they land 20 baby shots to my body it's better than being reversed.

There are a couple 'tricks' to help escape from bottom Sub. But overall the position is...lackluster...and probably still a bit OP

(but again, I do want Sprawl to be a Punishment! I just want it to be a bit more dynamic, I guess)
