What's the proper clinch to initiate against the cage?

Should Greco Roman and other grapplers initiate single collar or a different clinch rather than double collar against the cage? Should strikes outside of double collar be more dangerous in some scenarios?

Wanted to note Mitrione just had no success really with double collar against the cage in round one, in round 2 looked like single collar and other clinch techniques and had much more success

Yes I really think the 'default' clinch against cage should be different based upon style!

Like you said --- wrestlers should start w/ Double Under; 'average' well rounded fighters in single collar or over/under (up for debate); and MT Specialists are the only ones that clinch against cage w/ MT

Or at least make it dependent on your moveset and/or attributes

I believe I brought it up in this thread; if not, I had another thread about D/U talking about it ---

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...sy-escape.html

Somewhat related: It's pretty dumb that my Ultimate Team LW Boxer Joe Frazier ---- w/ Right Leg Power 34 and Left Leg Power 31 --- is able to one-shot knock down someone with a MT Knee!

He shouldn't even be able to get his knee that high in the air lmao

...and on the flipside...it's kinda dumb that my HW w/ Dirty Boxer Perk and 100 Right Hand is able to land 8 uppercuts in a row from single collar and not knock the guy out cold...

I love the way the ground and clinch progressed game over game but hopefully it will take at LEAST that big a leap again between UFC 2 and UFC 3

Boiler!!

Everything you said in that post!

100% spot on!!

Awesome idea with the different styles having different clinch entries. That seems so basic, and obvious, i'm sort of blown away it's not already like that.
