Guard (Not Postured Up) to Stacked Guard

So I recently discovered the transition shortcut to Stacked Guard, skipping the postured up position, by holding the L1 to begin the Get Up transition then letting go of L1 halfway or so, it changes to Stacked Guard and is accelerated. I believe it is classified as a Wrestling Transition level 2. I thought it was neat. I like the mechanics.

Does anyone know of any other transitions where pressing or releasing the modifier button midway has some effect?

All I know is that sometimes i want to getup from full guard bottom and i fill up the meter half way then hold L1/L2 or LB/LT so the move changes from getup to triangle, rubber guard, back sitting or just any other move.

I figured this out few months back and it works great.

Oh, that's pretty interesting! I only did a quick test, Mir vs Mitrione in practice mode. Meathead had nothing, but I noticed with Mir that if I start a Get Up to the side, then press L2 midway, the Triangle Choke seemed to have a speed increase. The sweep to half guard may also have a speed increase, but it may have only been my imagination. I'll have to test this more with different fighters.

I wish this game had a proper tutorial.

That way there are no hidden mechanics that nobody knows about.

Re: Guard (Not Postured Up) to Stacked Guard

So, I found another one from guard. Both GSP and Hendricks can do it so I'm guessing it's a wrestling thing.

From Guard Bottom, a transition to the side leads to a Get Up and a transition to the side with L1 pressed leads to Backsitting. However, start the Get Up to the side then press L1 midway through the transition and it changes to a sweep to Half Guard, not normally available, instead of Backsitting.
