Question about Clinch Blocking after the patches.

I remember when the opponent had you in the Mauy Thai Clinch, you could time a block, like a parry and you would press for an elbow for example: R1+Triangle/Square and then you would do a perfect block, that caused you almost no damage and you could transition faster than a normal block.

My question is, is this still a thing? I haven't been using it or needing it much the past 1-2 months. Is this still working after the knees nerf and the parries nerf?

Same could go for a perfect Knee Block, which is why i never found mauy thai knees OP and i could always easily counter them using this tactic, but after the knees in the clinch nerf, does that still work? That's all i am asking. If it does work, it's not nescessary with all those nerfs on the damage of those strikes, but whatever.

Re: Question about Clinch Blocking after the patches.

I still use it because it transfers the damage to the arm instead of the head. It can save you in spots where your head is red. People either don't know about it, or didn't believe me. This is a video before the nerfs, and I am taking damage to my arms in this video. Not the head. Which will turn pink to red with damage through the block.
