Question about blocking a transition...

I still don't know how to block the bottom fighter inside my guard from transitioning to the top backside position. How do you block that?

If they're grabbing your arm and rolling out to back side, then its r2 and the direction of the arm they have grabbed

I think the arm grabbing is the left or right transitions and takes them to Back Sitting, not Back Side. It's probably different for different people. But going up in Full Guard Bottom will get you to Back Side Top for most people.

You're probably right. For some reason I have in my head that that takes you to back side in the two different directions. Maybe depends on wrestling/bjj

Talking about when the guy at bottom puts you in a "headlock" and then transitions to your back (not back sitting). I don't think I've ever successfully (or deliberately) stopped it

Weird. Maybe I just have a mental block. I swear I've tried all directions but I"m guessing I just go left or right (you know, towards the direction) each time
