?

Do you not see Miocic pushing Werdum's hand out of the way; Werdum let his hand out- his hand wasn't there to block Miocic's right hand- an opening which Miocic capitalized on real quick.

Werdum fought like a drunken sailor. He was so wide open even Stevie Wonder would've been able to hit him. Regardless, it doesn't justify being able to STUN parry anyone on ANY given situation, let alone do it several times in a single match. Werdum wasn't STUNNED by the parry, he could've defended himself in spite of it, it was his reckless abandon that got him.

I think that in UFC 3 we should get tons of new animations for strikes for both realistic individuality and less predictability, because right now whenever people throw hooks or w/e it always looks the same so we memorize the beginning animation so quickly and it makes parrying easier.

This isn't necessary.

You miss the point. Werdum had his hand parried- his hand was not in place to defend Miocic shot- because Miocic literally pushed it out of the way of the block path. Werdum had no way to defend that quick hook because he already had his defense occupied by Miocic. It was a split second thing, and that's all that's needed, but it was an opening nonetheless.

Disagree. Werdum was 100% capable of defending himself despite the parry. He was running in there blind without a care in the world, not thinking of defense whatsoever.

That's your opinion, the evidence shows otherwise.

It's simple really. Werdum's hand was not there to block because Miocic parried it away- and in the time it took for Werdum to return his hand to block, Miocic had already capitalized on the opening.

The opening created after Werdum left his guard to strike, the opening in his guard was made even more vulnerable after Miocic parried since it's an additional second or so for Werdum to respond with the best defense choice in a split second..

e: and in another split second

Looks like Mir parries a hook here and makes Duffee pay for it real quick.

Sorry but you are completely off

Werdum was tagged because he wasnt thinking about defending himself. The parry had nothing to do with Werdum loading up for another strike instead of bringing his hand back to his guard to defend instead.

Werdum ignored basic fundamentals and paid for it. That has nothing to do with parries freezing people
