That could be part of the risk-reward going into sacrificing a green gate advance instead of a blue gate that appears prior. If the aggressor wants to be the tough guy, then he can pay the consequences of being one too haha.

That's true, but with MMA gloves on, your hand can actually get stuck, and you can't pull it out.
