Re: I keep discovering new transitions

I just figured out the momentum sweep in full guard to half guard played a ton of fights and never seen it once.

Yup, that is oh so useful, except that most good players are now aware of the left-then-right transition and will block it. It's useful for fakeouts too

I freaking love momentum escape from back sitting, unless my opponent sees it coming. 🤔

Which one is that? Do you have GA after your opponent gets you in back sitting?

I don't know about GA, I've only been playing ranked lately, and when I don't play ranked I don't pay attention to that meter.

Off hand I forget which transition it is, but I think when your opponent is in submissive half guard and transitions to back sittings if you transition the same direction you are moving it's super fast. I don't remember if it starts from opponent in sub half guard, but its by far the most common way I end up in submissive back sittings

No he's talking about the escape from back sitting which is simply escaping from the side you're rolling to.

I don't get it, I'm dumb walk me through this please. So a guy goes from HG bottom to back sitting and you go the same direction to immediately escape?

Re: I keep discovering new transitions

Yeah go with the direction you're rolling since you have the momentum going that way
