Is this like, I picked Kelvin Gastellum, so my opponent can't pick Jon Jones?

Thanks for asking.

It means I'll be matched according to overall ratings tier, not win loss or divisions.

Tiers are like: 96-100 overall, 91-95 overall, 96-90 overall, and so on.

If I pick a guy at let's say 92 overall, I'll be matched with another from 91-95 overall player.

This applies to matches and Ultimate Team.

Would certainly fix a lot of issues with matchmaking as it is.

What I want is a more dynamic clinch. Sort of like how UD3's was where you had things like better clinch locomotion (being able to move the opponent around better), various ways of breaking out of the clinch ( using strikes or pulling away) and clinch locomotion playing a role in what strikes where available. For example, if you had the thai clinch and was pushing the opponent forward or he was pulling away, his head would be up, thus only allowing you to throw knees to the body. However if you were pulling him toward you or he was pushing toward you, you would pull down on his head, allowing for knee strikes to the head. Think of what they could do with a more dynamic clinch system like this combined with the system that they have, that has things like momentum and all that good stuff. For example if your opponent is pushing you forward in say the over/under clinch, it could create momentum for a judo throw for you. There are some good possibilities.

I wouldn't call that an overhaul though. Just tweaking. Things that should have been there already. There were tons of complaints about UD3's clinch. People just don't like fighting there. It is almost the same as the ground.

As pretty much an offline only gamer I would go:

2) Clinch grappling overhaul

3) Online Fight Cards

6) 60 FPS compatibility

5) Online Fight Camps

1) More in-depth career mode

4) UT changes (Matchmaking / Move sets ect.)



Career mode and UT are just things that will never interest me no matter how much lipstick they put on them.

Yh true...well those few tweaks could help get the clinch better imo. Not saying UD3's clinch was perfect, but it was much more dynamic and allowed you to do more. Also forgot to add getting rocked in the clinch.
