Only if it's true... Regardless of what controls EA UFC 3 has for standup, clinch, ground, or submissions I just can't wait to get my hands on this game! I'm excited, and wondering what is what is keeping me hyped about this game!
Even off the vague info released there's alot to consider about the changes to striking. Such as the looping hook/ bar brawl adrenaline rush hooks from rocking your opponent being gone. Which I hope is true. Because unlike fight night EA UFC 2's approach to adrenaline rush limits what we are able to do with that short unlimited stamina burst. Giving us control of it allows for crazy finishes like Chuck Vs Tito
Rashad Vs, Lyoto, Vitor Vs Wanderlei. Diaz Vs Daley. We would also be able close the distance better with a FN approach.
If the games controls are more like FN now I could also see how the damage system would also be more similar to EA MMA or Fight Night, allowing situations like Aldo Vs McGregor to happen in game as well. Punishing the fighter who came in wreckless and rewarding the one who used timing and speed to counter.
Aside from the stand up game and new controls I'm curious to know what other changes we have in the clinch, the ground, and submissions. Hopefully submissions is still the same with the gates. If it is this will be the first MMA game with 3 titles that use the same mechanics for it's submission system. UFC Undisputed changed it's submissions system each game.
I'm positive you guys were able to better implement cage positions, and cage physics as well. Otherwise a thread would of never been created about what missing positions do we want by GDP. I don't feel like EA UFC 3 will be much anything like EA UFC 2.
I suppose a more curious question in regards to new controls is if the striking controls are different with stand up, how does this translate to the ground and clinch?? Will we have technique strikes we can throw from a non full postured position such as short elbows from guard or half guard top position? Can I throw a meaningful hook or uppercut while stuck in my opponents plum clinch?
