Why does flattening someone in Back Mount drain YOUR Stamina

I thought maybe I was dreaming this but I specifically went to Back Mount and flattened the opponent out a few times last night and sure enough my Stamina just evaporated.

This has to be mistake because that's not how it works IRL.

Stamina in these UFC games does not represent real life physical conditioning. Rather stamina acts as a penelty modifier. That's why you can have full stamina but silly **** like arm traps magically drain you 80%.

Best belt for back mount is don't posture. The little baby punches still work as strike interrupts.

LOL What?? That is borderline insane. There's a standard way that games work, and that is not it. Maybe this is why everything is so clunky when its nothing but penalty modifiers behind the scenes.... how many people are drinking the kool-aid thinking that's a good idea? It was supposed to be a temporary bugfix if anything, not the whole basis of the engine.

It's been that way since forever. It takes significant skill to deny somebody and carefully time passes using GA only for them to get one lucky hip bump or arm trap to gas you out.

Think about it. UFC games tell us professional level fighters gas out after 2 or 3 missed kicks. Stamina in the games is the equalizer. In some ways its good, you don't want somebody spamming 20 head kicks. In other ways atrocious.

I remember posturing in Back Mount after flattening the opponent in UFC 2 and it didn't drain the stamina like it is in this game. The worst part is that the person that IS supposed to be losing stamina there isn't losing any at all lol.

Lol there is nothing about posturing on a flattened opponent soaking up your stamina that says "balance" to me.
