Yeah, I'd love for striking to play a bigger role in opening up for subs and I'd like to proactively defend subs by holding certain defensive positions which would leave you open for strikes though.

Simple Submissions look a lot more fluid.

Sometimes completing them against the AI is ridiculous so I go back to the gates but it’s always on if I set up an AI vs AI fight

Somebody hit me with a guillotine from the single leg stuff against the cage. Had not seen that one before and it looked cool. Why there's a crazy flying submission but no ability to punch is still lost on me.

I finally got the 2 gate guillotine with Ortega 2 times tonight. Still trying to get the guillotine from a takedown but just can't get the timing right

Didnt take a video, but I was defending my championship in a ranked online match with Luke Rockhold and I stuffed a take down into a guillotine attempt and made him tap. It only had two gates and wasn't even intentional. Not exactly sure how you do this, maybe R2+L2 and down?
