The clinch should be easier to achieve than takedowns

But it’s the opposite. Has a lot to do with the short range of the clinch engagement animation coupled with the striking-to-grappling input lag.

Are there any plans to adjust the clinch engagement animation to make the clinch easier to achieve? Perhaps more takedown to clinch animations or faster clinch animation at short range

i actualy think its easier to clinch then getting takedowns if you are not using the ducking double leg td exploit.

I play against the AI on hard, and have better luck using takedowns at range than when I try to move in close, avoid shots, pause (input lag), and grab my opponent without getting denied.

It’s the range that gets me.

Why are using grapplers the clinch entry for takedowns because its easier to get.

Thats because of the takedown input lag but thats likely to be fixed once the patch comes.
