“Rubbery” striking animations and “spastic” hit reactions

Rubbery shots primarily seen when strikes are blocked (especially hooks), but also elbows and swayed strikes. It’s subtle but unnatural, with the strikes moving and bending in unnatural angles.

Hit reactions have a tendency to be awkward as well. Sometimes they look clean, and other times they look unnaturally fast with the fighter jolting in strange/unnatural directions.

You are guaranteed to see both issues at least once during any fight in this game.

Went back and watched old EA MMA and EA Fight Night videos and the first thing I noticed was how clean the strikes looked in comparison.

Are these things a patch can fix?

Lol you heard it here first.

Unfortunately I don’t have any footage outlining specific examples, but one I’m sure you’ve seen is when a fighter gets hit and very quickly/unnatural - or spastically, if you will - turns, bends over, and shuffles backward. It just looks odd.

That’s just one example of many that I’ve seen, and all of them are subtle. But combined, these weird animations have a fairly large and negative impact on the game’s presentation.

Compare EA UFC to fight night and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about.
