Strikes from side control vs side saddle

Can anyone explain why strikes from side control - particularly elbows - are far more effective than strikes from side saddle in EA UFC 3?

Also, why don’t fighters with crucifix have the option to go to side saddle as well?

Re: Strikes from side control vs side saddle

Yeah its crazy its like the most damaging position any other dominant positions you can at least block besides crucifix but with the rock the boat method its even easier to escape that.
I get very little damage done in side saddle and very often il pop my self out back into side control so i can atleast do damage.
As for wrestlers not having side saddle every fighter
in the game has it transition to north south midway hit the L1 it will switch to side saddle for yeah

Thanks for the tip.

And yeah, doesn’t make sense to me. Side saddle is like posturing up for side control, giving fighters more leverage for strikes, and should increase striking damage. But in the game side saddle is much less effective than side control for striking.

But honestly, strike damage for all grappling positions is very inconsistent. Side control might just be the most obvious
