Why aren't laggy players banned from ranked?

In a perfect scenario you should be able to filter your matchmaking by connection rating like in fifa, but it is already hard to find fights the way it its right now so that may backfire. In my opinion matchmaking should be the way it was in ufc 2 with wider division matching and no region locking and then it would be viable to introduce the connection filter.

Because it isn't really ranked. Match making is near non-existent, balance isn't in place to make it a fair playing ground, lower tier fighters don't have an incentive to be used and from what I can tell placement counts for nothing. The pool of players isn't large enough to allow for any ranked game mode that makes sense, it's at this point a score keeper.

my favorite are the people who have horrible internet and then knock you out through all the lag and send you a message telling you how much you suck and that you got knocked the **** out.

That’s why all my messages are blocked on psn unless i decide to open it up which it’s very rare.
