An interesting addition that went unmentioned. Less complex special modifier strikes.

If a fighter has a special strike like a kick with a complex input and the fighter also does not have a special strike for a less complex input, you can now use the less complex input to do the special strike.

For example:

Garbrandt has no rear knee, but he has a flying rear knee. Therefore the flying knee will now take the place of the rear knee input. Meaning you can simply hold RT and press B to do it rather than LB and RT.

These exist for many strikes now and honestly it's an ingenious way to take for advantage of the control scheme.

Oh wow, I hadn't noticed that but that is actually quite the smart little change.

I'm going to have to go test the living hell out of its applications, thanks for posting this man!

Good post. I wonder if people will end up prefering not having some moves, so they can use another move more easily.

Moves affected by this change will appear as (alt) in a moveset.

For example, Mirko has a lead high kick tied to R1+O as he doesn't have a R1 modified kick off the lead leg.

Prior to this patch, that input would have thrown a leg kick.

Can I still throw it the old way too?

So basically does the move get assigned to two different inputs.
