How do we deal with pressure or block breaking players?

It has been suggested that we throw a 1-6-3 to break the block but:
a. If they move back we miss and gas out, putting us in a worse position
b. Throwing the same combo to deal with this dumb tactic is boring and it should only take a single straight.

If we try to back sway, the jabs and straights of the block breaker will just stick to our faces and line us up for a juicy hook or uppercut, the head kick will slide forward and catch us or a leg kick or body kick will land and do extra damage.

Also, I just faced a player who kept spamming the spinning back elbow and he’d be beating me to the punch when I’m using a stationary lead hook. WTF?

And uncounterable overhands add to the problem.

There is not one answer, never. You can spam 1-6-3 or 1-6-3-2 at their block, but that leaves you vulnerable to minor sway straight/hook. You should mix it up, throw different combinations, punch the body, throw single shots just to see their reaction, etc. You could just stand in front of him and dont throw nothing. That way you can know if they are waiting on you to throw or they are proactives.

About them breaking your block, sway/duck just one punch and your block will hold.

Yeah, that overhand needs nerfing asap. You can duck it but is very risky because they can chain the lead uppercut.

Any video?

It really depends what kind of pressure they’re trying

Retreating jabs work wonders for breaking their block. And then you can follow up with your own combo.

Uncounterable overhands? Seriously?

There was a bug with the haymaker (shorter and faster version of the overhand) that made it track a side sway that it shouldn't track. But that was fixed a while ago.

The overhands are really annoying because they completly ignore jabs and do not allow you to cancel your jab or block in time. Plus, the range is pretty insane, you can try to sway away from it but if they delay the overhand even by half a second u will get rocked. They definitely need some nerfing

Best success I have is staying on that bike --- MOVE --- make them miss --- counter to the body --- if they get too aggressive, throw a 3-piece to the head and you may get a KD which will help you a lot in the stamina department ---

Pressure Fighters have had a Yugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee advantage since launch but that advantage has narrowed a lot the past few months.

People can still throw 140+ strikes with 30% accuracy in the first round ... and if they knock you down a couple times, you're pretty screwed --- BUT if you can weather that 1st round storm, you at least have a chance now! Well maybe not in Ultimate Team against 5-Star Conor but otherwise....haha

Overhands --- I love using them, I feel as if they are a bit OP due to the insane accuracy --- but I have no problem with how much damage they do or the fact they can blow through someone throwing a lazy jab or leg kick.

In a way, overhands/haymakers can be one of the best ways to fight pressure fighters --- which is counterintuitive b/c they're always in your face, but if you're able to make some distance and catch them coming-in they'll often not be ready for that strike

I def. think that all strikes are Too Accurate but overhands in particular are pretty damn laser guided lol ... lateral movement should help (or hurt, just ask Bisping vs. Hendo back in the day! Be careful where you circle!) your ability to avoid haymakers
