Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread

Do any of you guys have a small case? I'm wanting to start planning to build a pc but want to avoid putting it all in a huge case.

I been out of the loop since 2012 so not sure what to look for. Wanting to game and start using Steam.

I do want to get the i7 chip, and a pretty decent graphics card. Will get an ssd and probably 16 gb of ram to start.

I seen cubes and mini cases, but not sure if those can hold a good graphics card without over heating.

Also note that I just ordered a Asus Rog PG34Q for my everyday monitor and to video edit.

I have a Saitek x52 pro I use for elite and other flight Sims. Has enough bells and whistles on it for what I need.

I loved my X52, but I sold all my flight gear, rudder pedals, throttle quad, etc (still have headtracker), but now I'm wishing I didn't. I bought http://store.steampowered.com/app/30...of_Stalingrad/ and I haven't been able to play it.

The graphics are insane from what little i've seen.

I caved and bought that unit.

My uncle and I messed with my old pc and we couldnt get it to work. Im prob gutting it and selling it individually. That or throw my old pc harddrive into my new pc, reformat it and then buy a cheap windows 7 title and see if that fixes my issue on my old pc. Always nice to have a backup.

I have the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv case. It''s a great case for my first build. It's very easy to work with.

Thanks guys, I think i'm going to go midtower, go for the Corsair 460x case.

What are your guy's recommendation for graphic cards if I want to take full advantage of my monitor? (Asus ROG ultra wide 34")

I also have a 4k tv so I might use that too but will likely keep it at my desk.

Pretty case. I've read can be a bitch to build in with managing cables.
