Anne Meara, mother of Ben Stiller, passes

The comedy world lost another gem. Anne Meara, mother of Ben Stiller, and comedy partner to her husband, Jerry Stiller, passed at 85. Undoubtedly her latest, most recognizable role was playing Veronica Olchin, an on again/off again love interest of Stiller (Arthur Spooner), and Spencer's mom, on King of Queens.

She seemed to typically play the "straight woman" to Stiller in their skits and scenes. They were married over 60 years.
