Are you able to see all of your receivers with ease?

Re: first person football rocks!!!!

You can only see them "with ease" if they open up a passing lane.

I agree, it's much, much better than I thought it would be.

Re: first person football rocks!!!!

not yet. it is going to require some memorizing of your playbook routes. the good thing is that the plays are similar to last year though the layout is different.

running and defense are going to be favorites. it rocks when you get a tackle on your own.

i shedded a block and nailed garner. i swim moved with jason fisk and got a sack. and kicking a field goal loooks so cool.

Frickin SWEET!

Also better than I'd imagined.

Re: first person football rocks!!!!

I think the biggest eye opener for me was playing Charles Woodson on Derrick Mason. Mason beat me badly for 47 yards the play before (I didn't know how to look at my receiver...after a quick trip to the instruction book, I tried again). This time, on a 1st and 10 from the Raider 17, I hit white to look at Mason...he runs a 5 yard in, and I give him a couple yards of a cushion. He cuts on his in, and I actually see him look up for the ball. I let go of the white button, and McNair has just released the ball. I already had the inside track on him (I wasn't afraid of being beaten deep and to the outside from the 17), so I started mashing that speed burst, got the explosion to the ball, and got the interception. I returned it 22 yards before falling victim to the "unseen tackler", but it was a feeling I have never had in a video game before.

There's something to this FPF thing.
