It's not Sega being generous. It's Sega being desperate. They're doing everything possible to attract members to their fanbase. I hope to God they succeed, because if they don't, we most likely won't see another game from them next year. Problem for them is that now they'll need to sell 2 for every 1 game they sold last year just to match the money they made last year. I love the price, but I understand what it means, and also what it means for us as football game fans if their plan fails.

Sega isn't doing this out of the kindness of their hearts.. They just want to get Madden players to try the game.. Next yr the price will be back to 50.00..

Don't know if I'd call it desperate. Bold may be a better word. But ESPN sold over 500,000 copies last year. If Gameday and Fever had done as well, we would have seen a game from them this year. ESPN is number 2 behind Madden in sales. The price drop, early release date, and the many additions to this years game all goes towards improving it's market share. So don't worry... ESPN will be around for a good while.
