Need some help!

Okay, I dont know where to post this, but I am going to throw it on here, and hopefully someone could help me. I have comcast cable internet right now in my apartment and I want to get xbox live, but I want to be on xbox live at the same time as my internet on my computer. So obviously other than the xbox live starter kit, what do I need to buy? Like wireless router, what would I need? Or A router with wires, thanks for your time, it would help out a great amount. Thank you for your time.

wrong forum, but here is the minimum u'll need:

-A router, doesnt have to be wireless, unless you have a laptop with a wireless card.
-At least 2 ethernet cables

plug the router to the cable modem, and plug the xbox to the router, and plug the computer to the router..

With comcast(this is what i have) all the above worked without doing any special configurations. I have a D-link router.
